Like Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode", Freddy Vette is a poor country boy who has made good playing vintage Rock & Roll music. Freddy has been tearing up the stage wherever he goes, playing the music that started it all, with his frantic guitar playing, blistering piano pounding and tremendous vocal range. He has set audiences on fire at Belleville's Waterfront Festival, Gananoque Festival of the Islands, CANATS Car show in Trenton, the Nokia cup provincial curling championship, and countless dance halls and theatre stage shows. Hits from Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and others take audiences back to a time when Rock & Roll was king. Although Freddy may consider himself to be the prettiest part of the show, the truth is that it better describes The Flames. Three gorgeous ladies that share the stage with Freddy performing all the great "Girl" hits from the Rock & Roll era including songs from Leslie Gore, Connie Francis, The Shirelles, The Shangri-Las, and even a little Patsy Cline.
The Polaras are a potent blend of Rockabilly, Blues, Classic Country, Surf, and a dozen other genres that these cats have studied, and been influenced by. The core of this power trio comes in the form of the Makris brothers. Manny with his blazing guitar, and the Bomb layin' down his infectious grooves.
The Polaras take a timeless music and make it their own. Their lethal combination of Rockabilly and Swingin' Jump Blues harkens back to the days of it's beginning. As in those times, the boys have a penchant for blowin' the roof off.
