Lil' Al's Combo
This veteran Ottawa Classic
Rock/Blues band is a 3 piece acoustic or electric combo suited to all venues big or small.
The profile of this group is continuing to grow with their two shows at the 2004 Mont
Tremblant Blues Festival to their recent NAC and Rideau Carleton Slots bookings.
Recordingwise at the start of '98 they recorded their first CD called "Ain't Gonna
Worry". While regularly playing the circuit they were also working on a second
release titled "Ready to Play", composed of a more swing blues style as opposed
to the first CD with a "Rocky-er" edge to it. Just recently they released a
third CD titled "Where Didja Go?" using an acoustic band and live recording to
get that raw folky blues sound.
Bobby Cameron
Bobby Cameron is a riveting live
performer in tandem with his powerful, original music. From acoustic to electric, from a
whisper to a scream, the guitar in the hands of Bobby Cameron can evoke the full range of
human emotions in a listener. He combines breath-taking technical virtuosity with
emotional directness and honesty. Bobby stands alone playing and singing his songs with
the consuming passion of someone burning to be heard. Bobbys playing is anchored in
the Celtic soulfulness of his Cape Breton, NS, upbringing and takes full flight into the
heartlands of Roots, Folk, and Blues-Rock. While encountering these textures in his newly
adopted home of Ottawa, Ontario, the sum of his many influences is music with a unique
twist and style.
James Anthony
Cambridge, Ontario guitarist/vocalist/songwriter James Anthony has a unique style and
grace along with a feel for a range of electric and acoustic music stemming from Blues to
R & B, Jazz, Swing and Country. However the one feature that James is most renowned
for is his captivating slide guitar work. James is looked upon being a "Guitarist's
guitarist" especially after winning the Coca-Cola, Fender Guitar Warz 1989 in
Toronto. Song Writing is what he does best and with honesty he will leave his audience
with a feeling of complete musical satisfaction that is sure to propel James Anthony into
the hearts of listeners and fans of the Guitar everywhere.
Paul Deslauriers Band
Montreal, Quebec Blues/Classic Rock power trio who perform blues and rock originals and
covers. Paul was one of the driving forces behind Canadian Blues/Rock band Black Cat Bone
and is truly an awesome guitarist. This can be verified by the amount of road and session
work, Paul is called upon to do with other blues artists. Paul has performed with Dawn
Tyler Watson, Garou, Amanda Marshall and France D'amour and has opened for Colin
James. As well as recording with the Paul Deslauriers band, and Black Cat Bone, you can
hear some of Pauls guitar work on Bryan Lees Cd Heat Seeking
Missile. The Paul Deslauriers Band are fast becoming a regular fixture at
Tucsons in Ottawa. Paul also has an
incredible acoustic guitar/vocal show with another awesome blues guitarist/vocalist Trevor
Finlay that is a joy to watch as two great guitarists share a stage rapport without ego
clashes to produce acoustic blues that way it should be played and enjoyed.
Shaun Riley Blues Band
From Kingston, Ontario, features 20 year old Shaun Riley on lead guitar and vocals.
The bands shows are heavily influenced by an appreciation of the Chicago, Texas and
Roadhouse blues style. The band performs regularly in bars, taverns and festivals all over
Ontario.
Harmonica
Zeke
Zeke is a dazzling acoustic guitarist, singer and harmonica player. With his unusually
talented bass player Odette Mercure, theyve been bluesing together for years,
captivating audiences with every festival performance. In Zeke's own words -
"Imagine for a moment Junior Wells or Paul Butterfield streaming from his harp rack.
Close your eyes and you'd swear it was Muddy Waters tearing it up on slide guitar! Who's
singin'? Big Walter Horton or John Lee Hooker?" Zeke gladly acknowledges numerous
influences, yet his renditions are unlike anyone else's - you get the impression that he's
completely rewritten the songs to suit his own style and spirit! Be it folk or blues, all
is unmistakably steeped in the musical traditions of the American South.
Kate Morrison
A British Columbian native now living in Montreal, whose "eclectic" originals
and covers, in English and French, are completely free of labels. She has an unusual
charisma, an engaging personality, sensitivity and a subtle sense of humour. Her
voice...exploited in an exceptional manner, and her song writing...each syllable married
to each note, make her an artist of full dimension.
Kathy
Kennedy Band
A versatile Ottawa Rockin' Blues/R&B show, covering artists such as of Susan
Tedeschi, Etta James, The Band, Sheryl Crow, and many others, as well as original
material. Backed by one of the tightest rhythm sections around, Kathy Kennedy is in her
element when she's onstage belting out her own interpretations of rockin' blues and
R&B classics. Her commitment to keeping the best of authentic roots music sounding
alive and vital has resulted in a stage presentation that is creating a buzz in local
music circles, and is winning a steady following.

Drop", there is no better tribute to the creative style that was " Stevie
Ray".
